I disagree with Gardy #twins #fb

Strategy talk: Gardenhire was pleased that Orlando Hudson went to the plate with a plan in the first inning Tuesday night, when the second baseman opted to bunt, but the manager said that particular plan isn't always the best one when Joe Mauer is in the on-deck circle.

"He's just trying to help the team. He's thinking, 'I get that bunt down, I get a man on second for Joe Mauer coming up,' " Gardenhire said. "(If you) leave Mauer up there with a base open, as we go along here, Mauer won't get too many at-bats that way. He's going to get pitched around, it doesn't matter who's behind him. You have to be aware of those situations. That's all I need to do, just explain to Orlando, and that's what I've done."

If Span gets on and Hudson successfully moves him over causing Mauer to get walked, I will take my chances with runners on 1st and 2nd with one out and Morneau and Cuddyer coming up EVERY TIME. If we started every game with that situation I like our chances.
